Hair Dressing

A Hair Dressing is an art of cutting or styling of hair. This is achieved using a combination of hair coloring, haircutting, and hair texturing techniques. Hairdressing as an occupation dates back thousands of years. In Africa, it was believed in some cultures that a person's spirit occupied his or her hair, giving hairdressers high status within these communities. The first appearance of the word "hairdresser" is in 1600s Europe

Nail Art

Nail art is a creative way to decorate nails. It is a type of art which can be done on fingernails and toenails. Throughout time, nail art became a part of fashion and beauty while in history it was a part of aristocracy and determined social status. From the historical perspective, nail art was used in ancient times. It firstly emerged in ancient Babylonia when males coloured their nails with kohl. The nail colour indicated status where males of higher class wore black while males of lower class wore green.

From 5000 B.C. to 3000 B.C., ancient Egyptian women used nail art to indicate social status. They decorated their nails using the juice of henna plant. Ordinary women were not allowed to use the same colour as queen. In ancient China, during Ming Dynasty nail lacquers and varnishes were created from the mixture of beeswax, egg whites, gelatin, vegetable dyes and gum arabic.

Make Up

A facial is a procedure involving a variety of skin treatments, including: steam, exfoliation, extraction, creams, lotions, facial masks, peels, and massage. They are normally performed in beauty salons but are also a common spa treatment. Facials are used for general skin health as well as for specific skin conditions.
